
The NEW Lutheran/Providence Academy boys soccer team battled to an 8-11-3 finish with a first round Regional exit to Wrightstown, but the season was highlighted by major contributions from Providence student-athletes.
Altogether, 10 Providence players participated, many as starters, including seniors Caden Landes (pictured, captain, midfielder, 10 goals, 9 assists and 29 points to lead all categories) and James Staudinger (midfielder) earning Packerland Conference 1st Team All-Conference recognition, and junior James Rentmeester (defense) earned 2nd Team All-Conference honors. Senior goaltender Dylan Gustafson started 21 of 29 games for the Blazers, while junior Brice Nedobeck and sophomore Brady Cox started 4 games each in net. Sophomore Monty Gungor was tied for 3rd most goals on the team with 6.

Next year, with at least another 10 strong 8th graders joining the team, Providence will be a standalone high school boys soccer program, with anticipated associate membership in the Packerland Conference.
